Today, we celebrate the six month anniversary of our launch! When we launched, we started as all great projects begin: In the Beginning. We thought that we would find an audience, but could not have imagined how popular our site would become.
In just six months, we have had over 10,000 views. Our site has been viewed by people in more than 87 countries, from Antigua and Barbuda to Zimbabwe, including Vatican City! We have published 130 original articles, and featured more than 240 other articles in our weekly Friday Round-Ups of the best Catholic articles from the web. We published our first book in both paperback and Kindle editions. We watched in astonishment when our Kindle edition flew to #2 in the Amazon bestsellers for Catholic eBooks, just behind Pope Francis! We hosted a highly successful Advent calendar, featuring inspirational quotes, stories, videos, and Catholic freebies. Our Facebook page exploded with new fans, and we gave away rosaries to celebrate.
Today, we would like to say thank you. Thank you for reading our articles. Thank you for telling your friends. Thanks for the kind words and comments. Thank you for appreciating and supporting Catholic content that is educational and eschews in-fighting.
To celebrate our six month anniversary, we are offering the Kindle edition of Mass Education for FREE for today only! (You can download your free copy here.) We would also like to announce the winners of our Advent calendar contests. Congratulations to Serena from Virginia for winning the BeadAttitudes rosary! And congratulations to Becca for winning the free, autographed copy of the paperback version of Mass Education! (Becca, check your email! We need your mailing address!)
With six months of success behind us, rest assured that we are nowhere near finished. We have lots more content to publish, articles to share, and community to build. We’re so happy to have you with us, and hope that you will stick around for the next part of our journey. We have exciting plans to announce, and more great content to publish! (And, as always, we’re happy to publish your own articles! Please see here to learn how to contribute your own articles for publication!)
Thanks again. We’re simply verklempt!
