Tim Ferreira is a professional in the developmental disabilities field who happens to also have a passion for Catholicism. The son of an ordained Roman Catholic deacon, Tim attended Catholic schools from kindergarten through high school, and spent a good portion of his formative years in and around the Church on both the East and West coasts of the United States. After high school, Tim fell away from the faith, feeling increasingly estranged from the Catholic hierarchy and teachings on contemporary social issues. In the past ten years, Tim has felt increasingly drawn back into the faith and is particularly interested in supporting the voices of Catholics who feel that their voices are being drowned out by an increasingly vocal, traditionalist minority who represent the Church to the media. He has a BA in philosophy from North Carolina State University, a certificate in Nonprofit Management from Duke University, and is currently working on a M.Ed. in Adult Education. Tim currently lives in North Carolina with his partner and a small menagerie of domestic animals. Tim may be contacted at [email protected].
